A Canadian resident is an individual who normally lives in Canada; proof of residency may be requested. A non-resident is anyone who does not live in Canada.

All passengers must purchase a current recreational tidal water fishing license. It must be valid for the days you intend to fish. Plus be sure to include a Salmon tag so you can keep your Salmon.

When you buy your fishing license, you need to show 2 pieces of valid identification to the vendor. A valid driver’s license with your photo or government ID card. A travel passport or citizenship papers.

Other forms of identification that comply with the D.F.O. requirements to buy a recreational tidal waters fishing license from a vendor.

A printed copy of your recreational fishing license will need to be carried with you while fishing. Catch records must be recorded on the license, as per your charter Captain’s direction. 

Canadian citizens’ can obtain their fishing license using the D.F.O. online tidal waters fishing license service or at a vendor.
