A Canadian resident is an individual who normally lives in Canada; proof of residency may be requested from a vendor. A non-resident is anyone who does not live in Canada.

All passengers must purchase a current recreational tidal water fishing license. It must be valid for the days you intend to fish. Please be sure to buy the Salmon tag on all licenses. Without it you can’t keep a Salmon. Your tidal fishing license must be carried with you while fishing all tidal waters in BC. 

Buy your fishing license from a vendor? You’ll need to show 2 pieces of valid identification. A valid driver’s license with your photo and  government ID card with your photo. A travel passport or citizenship papers can also be used.

A printed copy of your tidal waters recreational fishing license, must be carried with you onboard while fishing. Catch records must be recorded on the license.
